Description

For our 95th issue of Posterzine® we take a closer look at the most famous Italian type foundry in the world, Zetafonts, known for its elegant fusion of traditional Italian design elements & contemporary trends.

To date, the award-winning foundry has published more than two thousand different fonts belonging to more than a hundred typographic families. With over 32 million downloads on Dafont.com, Zetafonts’ creations are taking Italian font design global.

The foundry’s most recent font — called Artusi — takes inspiration from one of the best-loved features of Italian culture: its food. Named after the Italian food writer, Pellegrino Artusi, its creators describe the font as “the secret ingredient to delicious design dishes”. Here, founders Francesco Canovaro, Debora Manetti, and Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini tell us about their story so far, the thinking behind Artusi, plus the perfect Italian menu.
